
Pre-IMBA Application
Rules and application for Pre-IMBA (Non-degree program)
The Pre-IMBA program allows you to start the IMBA from just one course. Students may take up to 15 credits (10 courses) over one year. When admitted to the IMBA Program, students may transfer the credits acquired at Pre-IMBA to the program, and the course fee for the completed courses will be deducted from the IMBA tuition.
IMBA courses lasts for 3 months with 6 class days. We accept Pre-IMBA students every quarter and start accepting your applications two months before each term starts. Please check the list of courses open to Pre-IMBA students and Pre-IMBA course schedule for the April term 2010.

- Work experience
- English exam score (TOEFL iBT 83/CBT 220/PBT 557-560, or TOEIC 750 above) (*2)
- Essay: "Why are you interested in the IMBA (or Pre-IMBA) program?" (at least 200 words--not characters) (*3)
(*1) Please try to submit your application early. As the priority for classes is given to IMBA students, seats for Pre-IMBA students are limited.
(*2) If you are not a native speaker and your score is under the standard, or you have not taken an exam, please consult the Administration Office. Also, you may be invited to an English interview even if your English exam score meets the criteria.
(*3) You will be asked to resubmit your essay if it is less than 200 words. Please check the total word count before submitting it.
- We recommend that you prepare your essay in a separate program, as prolonged access to the application form will cause it to time out.
Please set the security level to "medium" in case you are using Internet Explorer. (How to set: "Tools" → "Internet Options" → "Security Tab" )
*Students already registered in the Pre-IMBA Program can register for IMBA courses through their Student Page.

| Criteria: | Students applying for the Pre-IMBA program are required to meet all of the following criteria:

| Enrollment Duration: | 1 year *Pre-IMBA student status will be extended until entrance if they apply and are admitted to the IMBA Program. |
| Maximum credits to take: | 15 credits (approximately 10 courses) * Students registered for Japanese MBA (tankasei) or open enrollment programs besides Pre-IMBA can take up to 15 credits in total. |

-The number of seats available for Pre-IBMA students may be limited, as IMBA students have priority.
-Student ID or railcards, etc. will not be issued to non-degree students.
-Course fee payment with Globis points will not be accepted at Pre-IMBA.
* To register for a course in Japanese, students need to provide additional specified documents.
* The maximum number of combined Pre-IMBA and Japanese MBA Program (tankasei) courses students may take is 15 credits (about 10 courses). If admitted to either MBA Program, students are allowed to bring in 9 credits maximum take in other languages.
