1. What are the admissions requirements?
To apply to the IMBA, we require:

 - A University degree
 - At least three years of work experience

For those who do not qualify for the first two criteria above, we have a preliminary screening process. Please see Preliminary Admission for more details.

2. What is the IMBA admission schedule?
We offer 3 admission rounds per year (September, November and January). Click here to find out about the IMBA admission schedule.

3. How much is the application fee? How can I pay it?
・Application fee
JPY 35,000
Please pay the application fee by postal money order (Yubin Kawase). This should be submitted with all other documents. Payment by cash is not accepted.

4. Can I send my application forms by e-mail?
No. Please submit all the application documents through registered mail or bring them into the office by the deadline.

5. Is it possible for candidates to apply to both the English and Japanese programs?
No. Applicants must choose either the English IMBA Program or the Japanese GMBA program.

6. I have just graduated from university and have less than 3 years of work experience. Am I eligible?
Applicants who have less than three years of work experience must take preliminary admission. Students are required to have enough experience to supplement their class experience.

7. I have not taken any English tests, or my score is below standard. Can I apply to the IMBA program?
All candidates are required to submit "evidence of English ability". To be exempt from submitting this evidence, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

 - A native English speaker
 - Graduated from a university or graduate school in an English-speaking country
 - Completed a degree program taught completely in English.

If you do not meet one of the criteria, please consult the admissions office.

8. I’m not in Japan. Can I apply for the IMBA?
Yes. Please consult the Administration Office before you apply.

9. I have taken the "Critical Thinking I" course. Will I be exempted from the logical thinking exam?
Those students who have PASSED (grades A or B or C) "Critical Thinking I" in English offered by the IMBA Program are exempted.

10. How much is the tuition, and what does it cover?
・Tuition
The tuition for the entering IMBA 2010 Class is JPY 2,826,000 (to graduate in two years)
Your tution will remain constant during the first two years. Your study period will be extended up to 5 years, but extra tuition per year will be required if you spend more than 2 years to graduate - JPY 250,000/year
It does not include expenses of textbook required in each course and the cost of camp courses.

・Enrollment Fee
JPY 22,000
If you have taken courses at Globis before and paid for the enrollment fee, you do not need to pay it.

・Living Costs and Other Expenses (including living expenses, extra-curricular activities and non-Globis textbooks)
A single person can expect to pay at least 125,000 ? 150,000 yen/month depending on housing and lifestyle. Over two years this is 3-3.6 million yen.
A 2-3 person family may expect to pay about 1.5 times the cost of a single person, but the actual cost may vary.

11. How does the payment process work?
The tuition can be divided into four equal payments over two years, or paid in full upon enrollment. Please refer to the tuition page.

12. Are any loans or scholarships available?
The Globis IMBA Program offers its own scholarships and also supports students in their efforts to apply for scholarships from other institutions. To find out more about loans and scholarships, click here.
